‘07 TiT doesn't crank after aftermarket alarm install

Soooo... my TiT is up and having some issues again. My old alarm system died, so I tried bypassing it, then also installed a plug-and-play unit. At first it was alright... the dash lights up, but there isn't really any crank or click when turning the key. The battery seems fine and I already tried jumping just in case. What's the problem then? Ignition or?

Have you checked the plug and play unit for compatibly? It may need proper programming to the immobilizer system (if you have one)

That's a bummer! My first thought would be to double-check all those connections, given you've already messed with the alarm system and now have a new plug-and-play unit. Even a slightly loose one can cause weird issues. Did the new unit come with a wiring diagram you can compare against? If the alarm wiring is solid, you're looking at other common "no crank" issues. An ignition switch could have corroded contacts, not sending power to the starter relay. Try testing for voltage from the switch in on and start positions. Also, don't forget the kickstand or clutch safety switches! They can fail and cause no-crank symptoms even with a live dash.
