Benelli TNT135 battery died, put a new one in but failed

so I have a 2021 Benelli TNT135, the battery was on its last legs for a bit, and I noticed my bike was already running kinda rough.
Eventually, it just kicked the bucket completely. So, I grabbed a new battery and popped it in.

But now, man, my bike does NOT run right at all. It keeps dying out on me and hesitates like crazy. Anyone got any idea what's wrong with it? I'm stumped!

So, it sounds like the new battery might have reset your bike's computer. This can make it idle rough or even stall until it gets used to things again. Try riding it for 15–20 minutes to warm it up. Don't use any extra stuff, and see if that helps it adjust. Also, make sure your battery cables and grounds are tight and clean.

If it's still acting up, you might want to clean the throttle body or idle valve.

Did these problems start right after you changed the battery? Does it idle better once it's warmed up?

I agree with this. A throttle reset or quick scan at a shop could help too.

I'd also guess it can be related to the new battery. Even just a loose connection can cause this kind of problem. You could also try resetting the ECU by disconnecting the battery for a bit and then reconnecting it, like the others here suggrsted. It might just need to relearn things with the new power source. But also, since you said it was running rough before the battery died, you might have a different underlying issue? Maybe check your spark plug, air filter, and fuel line. It's possible the weak battery was just masking another problem.
